Each day at STEPS Camp, social skills therapy is facilitated by a panel of certified specialist who volunteer their professional expertise. With their assistance, the campers participate in life skills sessions that support social development.
Standard topics include coping skills, communication skills, conflict resolution, sensory processing, and strategies such as Stop: Think: Act.
Pet Therapy is also a signature feature at STEPS Camp, and we plan to include mime techniques to creatively strengthen the imitation of positive social behaviours.
